My name is Chris Pritchett.
I am a follower of Jesus, husband to the most gracious and generous woman, Devon, and father to two incredibly fun-loving girls, Hannah (3) and Abby (1). My family keeps me in line and teaches me a great deal about love, hospitality, laughter, joy, and simplicity.
I was raised in the Roman Catholic tradition, deliberately began following Jesus in high school and was embraced by the love and grace of God through a Presbyterian Church youth group. I graduated from Westmont College (B.A., Communication Studies) in 1997, served as a youth pastor while attending seminary for five years. I graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2008 (M.Div) and Princeton Theological Seminary (ThM, Practical Theology) in 2009.
I will be ordained in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A), to serve as an Organizing Pastor for Taiwanese-American, multicultural, new church development (that’s presby lingo for ‘church plant’) in Garden Grove, California next month. Our church is called Cornerstone Church of Orange County.
Becoming more like Jesus is the most important thing in life for me, but I have a long way to go. God is working hard on me.
chrispritchett.net is a place for me to reflect on Jesus, culture, and church planting (specifically multicultural church planting). I hope this site can also be a place for me to connect with all kinds of other folks, from skeptics of Christianity to church members to Asian American / multicultural church leaders.
